Warringah Archers
featured in The Guardian
Warringah Archers has been featured in The Guardian, after journalist and author Kate Leaver attended one of our Try Archery sessions and later returned to the club with a Guardian photographer.

Kate visited the club on Saturday 7 June for a beginner session with Ben, where she tried archery for the first time as part of The Guardian’s My rookie era series. Her article captures the beginner experience well: the uncertainty of picking up a bow, the satisfaction of hitting the target, and the appeal of archery as a focused, rewarding sport.
Kate Leaver is a journalist and author whose work has appeared in The Guardian, The Big Issue, British Vogue, The Sydney Morning Herald and other publications. She is also the author of Good Dog and The Friendship Cure.
Thank you to Kate for visiting Warringah Archers, and to Elizabeth and Ben for helping showcase the club and the sport to a wider audience.
