National Squad Selection:
Megan Denier & Maja Kecskes
Selection to an Australian National Squad is a significant achievement at any level of sport, reflecting sustained performance, consistency under pressure, and recognition by the national selection panel.
Following strong performances at the Australian National Archery Championships held in Canberra last month, Megan Denier has been named to the Female Recurve National Squad, while Maja Kecskes has been selected to the Female Recurve Development Squad for 2026.
Megan Denier – Female Recurve National Squad
Megan’s selection recognises her continued progression and competitive results at the highest domestic level. Earlier this year, she also represented Australia at the World University Games, competing against elite university athletes from around the world. Balancing international representation with national competition is no small task, and her selection reflects both performance and resilience across a demanding competitive calendar.

Maja Kecskes – Female Recurve Development Squad
Maja’s inclusion in the Development Squad highlights her trajectory as one of Australia’s emerging recurve athletes. In 2025, she represented Australia at the World Youth Archery Championships, gaining valuable international experience at a formative stage of her career. Her results at the National Championships in Canberra reinforced her readiness to progress within the national pathway.
Acknowledging the Achievement
National squad selection is highly competitive and should not be understated. Both Megan and Maja have earned their places through performance, discipline, and commitment to the sport. Their selections are a credit not only to their individual efforts, but also to the coaches, clubs, and support networks that have contributed to their development.
We congratulate Megan Denier and Maja Kecskes on their respective selections and look forward to following their progress throughout the 2026 season.
