Inaugural Warringah Resolution Climb

Today saw the first running of the Resolution Climb at Warringah Archers, and it delivered exactly what it promised. A progressive shoot starting at 10 metres and stepping all the way back to 90 metres, six arrows per end, on a 122 cm face.

There was plenty of head-scratching early on, particularly as sights crept higher and familiar reference points disappeared. One comment overheard at 80 metres summed it up nicely: “Glad there’s a bit of colour between the trees.”
Despite the rain threatening and the distances becoming increasingly unforgiving, a determined group pushed through to the end. Several inaugural club records were set in the process, meaning anyone else keen to challenge them will now have to wait until 2027.
A great way to start 2026, plenty of laughs, and just the right amount of madness.
