DESCRIPTION:This is the fourth week of our Beginners Course with Coach Danny. \nBeginner Archery Course (3–4 Weeks)\nWarringah Archers’ Beginner Course is a structured progression from introductory shooting to consistent\, independent practice. The course runs over three or four weekly sessions\, each lasting two hours\, and is designed for those who have completed at least one Come N Try session or have equivalent exposure to archery basics. \nAcross the course you’ll cover range safety\, equipment handling\, warm-up and cool-down routines\, and the fundamentals of target archery. Instruction focuses on building a repeatable shot process\, including stance\, bow hand\, draw\, anchor\, aim\, release\, and follow-through\, along with practical skills such as target set-up\, arrow selection\, and basic equipment care. \nAn optional fourth session provides the opportunity to shoot alongside club members under normal club conditions. This session runs at a different time and details are provided during the course. On completion\, participants will have the knowledge required to select and maintain basic equipment\, understand scoring\, and continue shooting safely and confidently at club level. \nMore information on the Beginners Course.

DESCRIPTION:To celebrate International Women’s Day 2026\, Warringah Archers is hosting a special Come N Try session designed to encourage women and girls of all ages to step onto the shooting line and give archery a go. This initiative is about getting women active\, building confidence\, and experiencing a sport that is both challenging and rewarding. \nOur Come N Try sessions are designed specifically for beginners with no prior experience. Over a relaxed two-hour session\, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of target archery by experienced club instructors\, with all equipment provided. You’ll learn safe shooting technique\, range etiquette\, and have plenty of time on the line to shoot arrows and build confidence in a supportive environment. \nThis session is open to all female members of the community\, regardless of age (juniors from age 6). Whether you’re looking to try something new\, build confidence\, or simply spend time doing something for yourself\, this is a safe and welcoming way to begin. Small group sizes ensure proper supervision and personalised instruction.
