The course runs over three or four weekly sessions\, each lasting two hours\, and is designed for those who have completed at least one Come N Try session or have equivalent exposure to archery basics. \nAcross the course you’ll cover range safety\, equipment handling\, warm-up and cool-down routines\, and the fundamentals of target archery. Instruction focuses on building a repeatable shot process\, including stance\, bow hand\, draw\, anchor\, aim\, release\, and follow-through\, along with practical skills such as target set-up\, arrow selection\, and basic equipment care. \nAn optional fourth session provides the opportunity to shoot alongside club members under normal club conditions. This session runs at a different time and details are provided during the course. On completion\, participants will have the knowledge required to select and maintain basic equipment\, understand scoring\, and continue shooting safely and confidently at club level.

Over a relaxed two-hour session\, you’ll be introduced to the basics of target archery by experienced club instructors\, with all equipment provided. You’ll learn safe shooting technique\, range etiquette\, and have plenty of time on the line to shoot arrows and build confidence. \nThese sessions are suitable for adults and juniors (from age 6)\, with small group sizes to ensure proper supervision and instruction. Closed footwear is required\, and we recommend comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor conditions. DESCRIPTION:Warringah Archers 2026 International Women’s Day Event\nThe Warringah Archers 2026 International Women’s Day Event is a registered target shoot offering multiple rounds to suit all experience levels\, from beginners through to U17 and senior archers. Distances range from 20m to 50m on 122cm faces\, with a maximum of three archers per target. Registration opens at 8:15am\, followed by bow inspection at 8:30am\, then practice and scoring. Entry is $30 per participant\, with online entries only closing on 2 March 2026. Membership will be checked on the day via Archers Diary and digital membership cards\, and a canteen will operate throughout the event.
